Three Romantic Historic Locales in San Francisco
San Francisco is full of iconic locations that offer incredible views of a city ripe with history. If you’re looking for a romantic getaway, the hills of San Francisco are an amazing place to be. From gorgeous architecture, to high-class dining experiences, San Francisco offers the opportunity to enjoy the company of your partner. Here are three locales to find love in the city.
Crissy Field
You’ll want to grab a coffee from the Warming Hut Café and a sweater for colder mornings, and even sometimes during the summer, but Crissy Field offers a stunning view of San Francisco. Great for all times of the day, it’s particularly lovely in the morning as the city wakes up. The West Bluff portion of the park offers a picnic area that is perfect for a morning bagel.
Conservatory of Flowers
While all of Golden Gate Park is a site to behold, the Conservatory of Flowers is a particularly special locale. It’s got a greenhouse component that can get a little muggy, but the conservatory offers roughly 1,700 species of plants to behold. The collection of orchids alone is worth the price of admission, but it’s a wonderful afternoon getaway, and the locale is close to some tasty restaurants like Parada 22 and Muguboka.
The Painted Ladies
Just before dinner, stop by Alamo Square to view the Painted Ladies. The Victorian architecture looks particularly poignant as the sun descends. The bright colors look incredible, juxtaposed with the colored skyline as night creeps.
